1988 Toyota Camry

Automobiles

In 1988 Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky, its first wholly owned plant in the United States, began building the Camry in May. The All-Trac four wheel drive model and an optional 2.5 liter V6 were added for the American 1988 model year, and Japan received the Camry Prominent hardtop in August. It was model year 2 of 5 in the Toyota Camry (second generation, V20), 1987 to 1991, coming after the 1987 model year and before the 1989 model year.
