Another early car, probably Italia number 3, was shown on the Triumph stand at the 1959 Turin show, and the motoring press was impressed. Ruffino began full production in December 1959 with only a few changes from the Vignale built show cars. The most noticeable change was the badging: the car was no longer billed as the Triumph Italia but as the Italia 2000, and nearly all references to Vignale were removed.
