The Yaris has been built and marketed in China by GAC Toyota since July 2008, and in September 2008 Toyota Modellista International launched three special editions of the Vitz RS in Japan. The new base model J was added in Indonesia in 2008. It was model year 4 of 6 in the Toyota Yaris (second generation, XP90), 2005 to 2010, coming after the 2007 model year and before the 2009 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Yaris run from 1999 to 2022.
