Rumored for many years before, the 1993 Toyota T100 featured a full size, eight foot pickup bed, retaining the engine and suspension setup of its smaller and older sibling, the compact Truck. The T100 launched in November 1992, and sales fell about 30 percent when the new Dodge Ram went on the market in October 1993. For the 1995 model year Toyota made several significant upgrades, and the T100 ceased production in July 1998, with sales ending with the 1998 model year.
