In July 2012 the Porte was redesigned as the XP140 and the Toyota Spade twin was introduced, and a 1.5 liter 1NZ-FE engine was introduced beside the 1.3 liter 1NR-FE, mated with a Super CVT-i automatic transmission. The two engine sizes gave Japanese drivers a choice of annual road tax. This was the first model year of the Toyota Porte (second generation, XP140), 2012 to 2020, which took over from the Toyota Porte (first generation, AP10); the 2013 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Porte run from 2004 to 2020.
