Prior to 1972 the model was marketed as the Corona Mark II, and from the second generation it became the Mark II. The second generation adopted Coke bottle styling, and the Crown line of cars was no longer marketed in North America after 1972 due to disappointing sales. This was the first model year of the Toyota Mark II (second generation, X10 and X20), 1972 to 1975, which took over from the Toyota Mark II (first generation, T60 and T70); the 1973 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Mark II run from 1968 to 2004.
