Toyota Land Cruiser (100 series, J100)

Automobiles

In January 1998 the 100 series Land Cruiser was introduced to replace the eight year old 80 series, previewed in October 1997 as the Grand Cruiser at the Tokyo Motor Show. The 100 models were fitted with a slightly wider chassis, independent front suspension and two new engines, including a V8, a first for a Land Cruiser, while the 105 carried over the solid axles of the 80 series. The 100 series formed the basis for the Lexus LX 470 and remained in production until late 2007.
