Automobiles

The first generation Fortuner was unveiled in December 2004 at the Thailand International Motor Expo and was available for sale in early 2005. It was developed in Thailand by Thai and Japanese engineers, with a minor redesign launched in July 2008 and a second facelift introduced in July 2011 with sharper fender flares, LED integrated mirrors and wheels designed similar to the 2012 Hilux. In August 2012 the 2.5 liter common rail turbodiesel 2KD-FTV was upgraded to a variable nozzle turbocharger.
