The first generation Corona appeared in May 1957 and reached the market two months later, designed with parts from the previous generation Crown and Master following a major restyle and enlargement. It was Toyota's second highest product, just below the Crown. In 1957 Toyota also entered the North American market as Toyopet. This was the first model year of the Toyota Corona (first generation, T10), 1957 to 1959, the first generation covered for the Toyota Corona; the 1958 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Corona run from 1957 to 2001.
