1968 was a year of firsts abroad. The first Corollas shipped to the United States in March at about 1,700 dollars, the range was facelifted with safety upgrades for American rules, and Thai Hino Industry started local assembly in August, the first Corolla built outside Japan. The fastback Sprinter joined the family, and a four door SL followed in October. It was model year 3 of 4 in the Toyota Corolla (first generation, E10), 1966 to 1969, coming after the 1967 model year and before the 1969 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Corolla run from 1966 to 2026.
