In July 2004 Toyota announced that the Celica, as well as the MR2, would be discontinued in the United States at the end of the 2005 model year due to a lack of sales. Just 8,710 Celicas were sold that year, and the Action Package body kit was restyled for the 2004 model year. It was model year 6 of 8 in the Toyota Celica (seventh generation, T230), 1999 to 2006, coming after the 2003 model year and before the 2005 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Celica run from 1970 to 2006.
