Toyota Avensis (second generation, T250)

Automobiles

The second generation Avensis was launched in February 2003 in an all new format, penned by Toyota's design studio in France like the Yaris and the Corolla, with production beginning on 6 January 2003. It reached Japan in October 2003 as a saloon and an estate, replacing the Vista, and after the Camry was withdrawn from Western Europe in 2004 it became the largest Toyota saloon sold there. In 2003 it was the first Japanese vehicle to earn five stars under the new Euro NCAP rules and the first sold in Europe with a knee airbag, and it was facelifted in 2006.
