The Avalon of 1999 was the last of the first generation before the second generation arrived. In 1999 Toyota also recycled the tooling for the old Avalon by shipping it to Toyota Australia, which launched it as an all new model in June 2000. It was the last model year covered for the Toyota Avalon (first generation, XX10), 1995 to 1999, and the Toyota Avalon (second generation, XX20) came next, following the 1998 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Avalon run from 1995 to 2026.
