Toyota released the third generation Alphard on 26 January 2015 with a completely redesigned exterior and two new engines, a 2.5 liter 2AR-FE petrol and a 2.5 liter 2AR-FXE petrol hybrid. A prominent design feature of the Alphard is its shield like grille, which it has had since the launch of the AH30 generation in 2015. This was the first model year of the Toyota Alphard (third generation, AH30), 2015 to 2022, which took over from the Toyota Alphard (second generation, AH20); the 2016 model year follows it.
