The introduction of the Wilderness model for 2022 sat between the Onyx Edition and Touring trims, and LED foglights became standard on all trims. The sixth generation Outback went on sale in Mexico on 5 December 2022, in two trim levels, Field and Touring, powered exclusively by the 2.4 liter FA24F turbocharged gasoline engine. The raised suspension of the Outback provides a minimum ground clearance of 8.7 inches. Most versions of the Outback wagon have had all wheel drive as standard equipment.
