For 2021 steering responsive LED headlights, a passenger seatbelt reminder and a rear seatbelt reminder became standard on all trims. The sixth generation Outback was released in Taiwan on 16 April 2021, in South Africa on 3 May 2021 in two trim levels, Field and Touring, and in Japan on 7 October 2021 as the Legacy Outback. The raised suspension of the Outback provides a minimum ground clearance of 8.7 inches. Most versions of the Outback wagon have had all wheel drive as standard equipment.
