In 2019 for the European market the turbocharged 1.6 liter FB16 was phased out in favor of a naturally aspirated 2.0 liter FB20B. On 20 November 2019 Subaru launched the 2020 Levorg V-Sport, with front sports seats and a leather wrapped steering wheel. The second generation was unveiled as a prototype at the Tokyo Motor Show on 23 October. The first Levorg shares its platform with the Impreza, WRX and the Legacy. The name Levorg is a portmanteau of Legacy, revolution and touring.
