1997 Subaru Legacy

Automobiles

The second generation Legacy was in its fifth year in Japan and third in North America, sold as a sedan and a step roof wagon with the Outback as the raised version. The sedan codes ran in Japan from 1993 to 1997. The limited special editions of the following year, including the Bilstein Edition RX, were still to come in 1998. The maker's flagship car, it is unique in its class for offering all wheel drive as a standard feature, and Subaru's traditional boxer engine.
