1996 Subaru Legacy

Automobiles

In 1996 a variant of the Legacy with heightened suspension called the Legacy Outback was introduced to compete in the burgeoning sport utility vehicle class, and it was a sales success for Subaru. In 1996 Subaru also made all wheel drive standard equipment on all vehicles produced for North America. The tail lights on both the sedan and wagon were influenced by those of the SVX. The Legacy is a mid-size car built by the Japanese automaker Subaru from 1989 to 2025.
