1995 Subaru Legacy

Automobiles

Passenger airbags were not available until the second generation arrived in 1995 in North America. The Outback was introduced with this generation in 1995 as a trim package, then with increased ground clearance and a raised roofline in 1996. Model codes for the sedan, BD, ran 1995 to 1999 in North America, as against 1993 to 1997 in Japan. The maker's flagship car, it is unique in its class for offering all wheel drive as a standard feature, and Subaru's traditional boxer engine.
