The sixth generation Impreza was revealed on 17 November 2022 at the 2022 LA Auto Show, based on the outgoing model. It debuted in North America at the Chicago Auto Show on 9 February 2023 and went on sale in the United States in the second quarter of 2023 as a 2024 model year vehicle. It is a hatchback only, the sedan having ended with the fifth generation. It keeps the boxer flat four engine and standard all wheel drive that have defined the Impreza since 1992, and it is built for North America at the Lafayette plant of Subaru of Indiana Automotive. Its model years run from 2024 on.
