For 2019 the Crosstrek received EyeSight on all models equipped with the CVT. Subaru introduced the e-Boxer hybrid powertrain for the European market Forester and XV at Geneva in March 2019, integrating an electric motor into the Lineartronic CVT. The second generation Crosstrek was in its second model year with the FB20D engine. The Crosstrek is a successor to the Outback Sport in North America and the Impreza XV globally.
