The SVX was Subaru's first luxury and performance coupe, built in one generation from 1991 to 1996 and sold in Japan as the Alcyone SVX. It replaced the aviation inspired XT, took its styling from Giorgetto Giugiaro of ItalDesign, and was noted for its window within a window side glass. Its only engine was a 3.3 liter boxer six. Alcyone names the brightest star in the Pleiades, and SVX stands for Subaru Vehicle X. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the first generation (1991 to 1996).
