The Nash Statesman was the mid priced full size Nash of 1950 to 1956, placed below the top line Ambassador and above the compact Rambler. It began in 1950 as the renamed Nash 600 on the Airflyte unit body, and was restyled in 1952 as the notchback car credited to Pininfarina and Nash's own designer. Along with the Ambassador it was a volume and profit leader for Nash, and it was dropped after August 1956 when every full size Nash became an Ambassador. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the first generation (1950 to 1951); the second generation (1952 to 1956).
