The Dodge Diplomat was an intermediate car that Dodge produced from the 1977 to the 1989 model year on the rear wheel drive Chrysler M platform. It was introduced as a higher priced companion to the Dodge Aspen, was offered as a coupe, sedan and, from 1978, a station wagon, and was the last Dodge sold with a carbureted engine. It was replaced by the front wheel drive Dodge Monaco. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the first generation (1977 to 1979); the second generation (1980 to 1989).
