In August 1969 the Corolla engine was enlarged to 1166 cc, the last major change of the first generation. Late in the year Canadian Motor Industries started putting cars together at its small plant in Nova Scotia, an operation that would close in 1975. It was the last model year covered for the Toyota Corolla (first generation, E10), 1966 to 1969, and the Toyota Corolla (second generation, E20) came next, following the 1968 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Corolla run from 1966 to 2026.
