The final iteration of the P5 appeared in September 1967, the 3.5 litre V8 model, which for the first time used an all aluminium V8 design purchased from the Buick Motor Division of General Motors. When introduced the Buick designed V8 produced 160 PS and 210 lb ft of torque. Production ended in 1973, by when 9,099 coupes and 11,501 saloons had been built. Its model years run from 1967 to 1973. The P5B was the last P5 and the first Rover with the Buick derived V8.
