The second-generation Range Rover Sport reached customers as a 2014 model. It was four inches longer and about 180 kilograms lighter than its predecessor and, unlike the first generation, was built on an all-aluminium monocoque like the Range Rover, with the Dynamic Response system of active anti-roll bars. On 11 August 2014 Land Rover announced the Range Rover SVR at Pebble Beach, with a revised front bumper, black grille, new diffuser, 21-inch wheels and the 5.0-litre supercharged V8.
