The first-generation Range Rover Sport was in its last year in 2013, when the SE, HSE, Supercharged and Autobiography trims were sold, with the GT Limited Edition for North America. On 27 March 2013 the second generation was announced at the New York Auto Show, with Manhattan streets closed for a launch party starring Daniel Craig, and it went on sale later that year as a 2014 model. The L320 still used the Jaguar-derived 5.0-litre V8s of 2010 and the ZF eight-speed gearbox on the diesel.
