The third-generation Range Rover Sport, the L461, was revealed on 11 May 2022 as a 2023 model and is described as the shorter-roofed sibling of the regular Range Rover. It is built on the MLA-Flex platform with the same unibody structure as the L460, and is heavier than its predecessor, at about 2,322 kilograms. Powertrains range from mild hybrids to plug-in hybrids, with a twin-turbo V8 to come, and a 13.1-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen. It no longer has permanent all-wheel drive, using a part-time Active Driveline. A battery-electric version was unveiled in September 2026.
