The third-generation Range Rover reached North America as a 2003 model, going on sale during 2002, with a monocoque body and four-wheel independent air suspension that gave variable ride height and similar axle articulation to the old live-axle design. The US specification came with tri-zone air conditioning, a premium sound system, navigation with voice activation, a rearview camera and leather seats with power adjustment. The cross-link feature of its air suspension debuted in 2002.
