2008 Pontiac G6

Automobiles

For 2008 the GTP became the GXP with more dramatic styling cues, and the 3.9 liter engine became an exclusive convertible option, with horsepower down to 222. The retractable hard top convertible was powered, hydraulic and engineered by the Karmann offices in Pontiac, Michigan, and Ward's Automotive reported in 2008 that Karmann provided a revised, more robust retractable top to eliminate squeaks and rattles.
