1969 Pontiac Firebird

Automobiles

The 1969 model received a major facelift with a new front end design, but unlike the GTO it did not have the Endura bumper. In March 1969 an optional handling package costing 1,083 dollars, called the Trans Am performance and appearance package, with the code WS4, was introduced, named after the Trans Am racing series. An additional Ram Air IV option for the 400 cubic inch V8s was offered, and production of the 1969 model continued into the early months of the 1970 model year.
