The 1990 Acclaim continued with its three trim levels, the base model, the mid-range LE and the high-end LX, the last with 15 inch lace style alloy wheels. It was the second year of the car that shared its AA body with the Dodge Spirit and the Chrysler LeBaron sedan. Features such as premium cloth seating, power windows and door locks, premium sound systems and bodyside cladding were standard on the LE and LX models, and a five speed manual was offered, though few were sold.
