The estate version of the Vectra C premiered at the Frankfurt Motor Show in October 2003, with a slightly longer wheelbase than the hatchback and saloon. Sharing the 111 inch wheelbase of the estate, an executive hatchback was sold under the Opel and Vauxhall Signum nameplate. Pilot production at Ellesmere Port had started in late 2001, and the Vectra C was released for the 2003 model year. The 2003 Vectra was the first full year of the third generation, a car on the Epsilon platform made in England as the Vauxhall Vectra.
