For 2015 the Insignia returned to Australia, and for the first time to New Zealand, under the Holden marque, slotted slightly under the Commodore range in market position, after Opel's withdrawal from Australia in 2013. The Insignia was produced by Opel at Rüsselsheim and marketed in Britain as the Vauxhall Insignia. The 2015 Holden Insignia was the Australian version, sold beside the Commodore after Opel left in 2013.
