2001 Oldsmobile Aurora

Automobiles

Oldsmobile's original intention for the second generation was to move the Aurora further upmarket, with a V8 only drivetrain, but the division was forced to re engineer the planned Antares into an acceptable Aurora in a short time. The 2001 Aurora went on sale in February 2000, and the Orion, Michigan plant built 53,640 of them in 2001, the best year of the second generation. The 2001 car was the first of the second generation Aurora.
