The 1955 model year Statesman featured a facelift with a wraparound windshield and a new front door window design, and the headlights and parking lamps were integrated into the grille. The Statesman remained the mid priced full size Nash, now built by American Motors at Kenosha beside the Ambassador, and it shared its general look with the Hudson Wasp, which used the same platform in its Hudson form.
