Coupes and convertibles returned to the Ambassador lines for 1937. It was also the year Nash acquired the Kelvinator Corporation, which made George Mason president of the new Nash Kelvinator Corporation, and the cheaper LaFayette series came under the same one body plan. A promotion with Sinclair Oil and Babe Ruth, a baseball contest, gave away a 1937 Ambassador Eight sedan every week, and the shared body formula lasted through the final Ambassador of 1974.
