The Morris Twelve appeared quietly in autumn 1934, essentially a Ten Four with a bigger engine, for five pounds extra. The chassis and body were those of the slow selling longer wheelbase Ten Six. The engine had a capacity of 1548 cubic centimeters and a tax rating of 11.98 horsepower, against 1292 cubic centimeters for the ten horsepower Ten Four and 1378 for the Ten Six. The Twelve Four used the gearbox and ratios of the Ten Four.
