The fourth generation Pajero debuted at the Paris Motor Show on 30 September 2006 with the series code NS. The Montero was discontinued in the United States market after the 2006 model year, ending in North America. It was sold as the Montero in Spain and Latin America and the Shogun in the United Kingdom.
