The Minica of 1996 was in its fourth year as the seventh generation, a kei car sold in three door and five door forms with 659 cc four cylinder engines, naturally aspirated or turbocharged. A limited edition RV version of the Toppo was made available, along with the version of the Toppo with two doors on the passenger side, and the Skipper nameplate came back on the Pajero Mini. The Minica was offered in three- and five-door versions.
