The Colt 600 was the big minor change of the 500 in 1962, with a new front and rear and interior and the Colt name for the first time, with tail fins and a column shift. Its 594 cc engine had the same performance, and 13,739 were built in the three years before the Colt 800 replaced it. It was a rear engined two door sedan that raced in the Malaysian Grand Prix and took class honors there in 1964. Its model years run from 1962 to 1965.
