2005 Mini Hatch

Automobiles

The 2005 model year was the one in which the facelifted first generation Mini was sold in North America, with the convertible R52 alongside the hatchback R50 and the R53 Cooper S. It was the fifth year of the new Mini, built at Plant Oxford in Cowley, and the car was by now the leading retro styled small car in the world. The Mini was by now a regular export to the United States and Canada. Production at Cowley was running at full tilt.
