The Clubman in 2010 was in its fourth year on the market, as an estate variant of the second generation Hatch. Its Clubdoor on the right side was smaller than the regular doors, which meant that the layout differed between left hand and right hand drive markets, and left hand drive models had better rear seat access, while in right hand drive markets rear passengers exited into the road. The Clubman had been designed on the second generation Hatch platform.
