In 2008 the Clubman was in its first full year, an estate with an 80 mm longer wheelbase than the Hatch and 260 liters more cargo space, built at Plant Oxford with the Mini Hatch. The Clubman weighed 64 kilograms more than the two door hatchback and was identical to it from the B pillar forward, and was marketed as the Clubman because BMW did not own rights to the names Traveller or Countryman at first.
