In 1993 the Mini was in its fourth year of the Mark VI, the version with the 1275 cc fuel injected engine of the Cooper and the Mini 1.3i, made by the Rover Group at Longbridge in Birmingham. The Cooper made up some forty percent of the home market sales by 1991 and the Mini Moke was still being built in Portugal until 1993, the last year of that offshoot. The Mini remained the only car in the range with the A Series engine.
