For 1967 the Park Lane continued as a full size Mercury hardtop and sedan on the 123 inch wheelbase with coil springs at all four wheels, and Mercury added the Marquis two door hardtop as the counterpart of the Ford LTD. The Park Lane sat above the Montclair, with a 390 cubic inch V8, ahead of its replacement in 1969. The Mercury Colony Park wagon was aligned with the Park Lane. The second generation Park Lane topped the Mercury line above the Monterey and the reintroduced Montclair.
