The 1974 Colony Park was a pillarless hardtop wagon that continued the 1973 redesign, longer and heavier than any Mercury wagon before it, with a curb weight of nearly 5,000 pounds. The 400 cubic inch V8 was standard and the 460 sourced from Lincoln was the larger option. It was the senior Mercury wagon, with simulated woodgrain panels and concealed headlights. The Colony Park was a body on frame wagon sharing its wheelbase with the Ford Country Squire and LTD.
