Mercury Capri (Capri II)

Automobiles

After the 1974 redesign of the Ford Capri, Lincoln Mercury began American sales of the Capri Mk II in 1975 as an early 1976 model. Skipping the 1975 model year entirely, it renamed the car the Capri II, again without divisional identification, and fitted it with quad sealed beam headlamps and grille mounted turn signals. After the 1977 model year imports ended, with unsold examples sold during 1978, and 513,500 Capri and Capri IIs were sold from 1970 to 1978. Its model years run from 1976 to 1978.
